IQHO maps

The data showing the land ownership (private and crown land) is now available on our custom maps.

We are launching a new product tailored for moose hunters. Developed in collaboration with Michel Breton, guide, trainer and writer on topics such as moose hunting, the IQHO map (quality index of moose habitat) is designed to help moose hunters hunt in the right places.

Based on a fairly complex scoring system extensively studied and analyzed by Michel Breton, the IQHO maps show the best potential moose habitat. All feeding sites (logged site, natural disturbance, mature hardwood and mixed wood forest) and resting sites are listed according to the type of species, density and height of the stands, the age of the forest, the maturity of stands whether disturbed or not, and the type of slope. The best hunting sites to explore are identified by a graduation in color from pale yellow to dark green.

Our IQHO maps provide the most recent data on tree species and logging roads from the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The IQHO maps can be customized and centered on your territory at a scale of 1:10,000 or 1:20,000.

Forest roads on the IQHO maps are updated regularly. Our IQHO maps are available in print and electronic formats for the following Garmin GPS models compatible with custom maps: Colorado, Dakota, Oregon, Monterra, GPSMAP 62, GPSMAP 78, GPSMAP 64, Montana, Rino 610, Rino 650, Etrex 20 et Etrex 30, Etrex Touch.

The map size is 36 inches by 25 inches in lanscape orientation and 33.5 inches by 28 inches in portrait orientation.
